Orgain Keto at Costco, Chocolate Collagen Protein

I saw this Orgain Keto at Costco the other day. I’m going to assume it’s a newer product since I haven’t seen it before. I’ve seen the Costco Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides, but this chocolate protein collagen was new. Scroll down for photos. I’ll be honest, I haven’t purchased any of the collagen items yet. My wife & I are always into trying new health foods, or anything that may be good for us, but we haven’t tried this. I’d like to hear from anyone that has tried this or the other Collagen products. I used to buy my protein at Costco regularly, but I have switched to a more all natural protein that I buy on Amazon. Links below. I know Keto has become a more popular diet over time & it’s good to see Costco stay with the times. I remember when they first started carrying an assortment of organic products. Now, you see them everywhere. Anyways, here are a few more details about this Orgain Keto at Costco……..

  • 10 grams collagen Peptides
  • 5 grams MCT Oil Powder
  • 3 grams Fiber
  • Paleo & Keto friendly
  • Gluten Free
  • 10 grams of protein per serving
  • Chocolate flavor

Costco Orgain Keto Collagen Protein Chocolate, 1.1 LBS

I’ll pull the trigger on this purchase one of these days. I always try to keep my food simple so the collagen & MCT oil is new to me. I just know the price on this stuff is expensive & it’s nice that Costco carries it for a cheaper price. If you do buy this stuff you can mix it with water, coffee, tea & smoothies. As far as the protein goes I highly recommend this stuff on Amazon. It’s plain & can be mixed with most anything. 1. Are you still able to locate this at Costco? It has been absent from the two locations near me since the first of the year. It is my favorite way of breaking my fast with intermittent fasting and it has been instrumental in keeping me at a better weight than I was last year (50 lbs down!). If you know anything about the Costco supply chain for this, I would be grateful if you would share. I have had to resort to Amazon Marketplace, which doesn’t make me feel very comfortable.

    1. I went on the Costco website and it doesn’t seem to be available any more…that is where I bought mine…. but I searched for it this morning and here are my results….
At the Orgain website you can get a smaller container, 400g/.88 lb versus 500g/1.1 lbs for about the same price as we paid at Costco…but, on further searching, you can get the 1.1 lb jar at Walmart.com site for 24.99. I ordered 2!

      1. Thank for the heads up G. Kamm. Interesting they sell it at Walmart. If that’s the case they may sell it at Sam’s Club (subsidiary of Walmart) if anyone has a membership their too

    2. I haven’t seen it on the shelves at my local Costco either. I’ll be sure to really double check next time. They seem to rotate through a few protein products every once in a while. Hopefully they bring it back

    3. It has disappeared from Costco.Online I saw the size of container went down and price we t up.Costco had a chocolate collagen powder In its place. However I found the taste peculiar and will not buy it again

      1. Ya, this happens with a lot of Costco products. There is no warning or “low inventory / quantity” sign….it just disappears. Sometimes they will still carry the product in stores though…….Did you try the product with water or milk? Did you add anything like a banana, peanut butter or yogurt? Sometimes you can alter the taste to your liking by adding some fruit or yogurt.

        1. Costco puts a star on the price label when it is about to disappear.I might guess they get a better deal on changing suppliers. In this case the new chocolate collagen seems to replace the orgain brand which was really tasty.I mixed it in my coffee .The odd mildly coconut taste of the vital proteins brand is not the same rich chocolate.
I can still find the orgain brand elsewhere but in smaller sizes for more money..

          1. Good to know Susan. Thanks for that information. That’s the tough thing about Costco is that they will change products on you every once in a while. It’s a bummer when it’s something that you end up really liking. The Orgain is carried at a lot of places, but it’s usually always cheapest at Costco.

  2. Hi. I love it. I occasionally make a smoothie (I usually eat my 10 veggie soup as my first meal). I have made hit chocolate with it (w/ff coconut milk) I make snacks with it. 1 cup nut butter, 1 cup Lucy’s Dark chips melted, 1/4 cup og cp coconut oil, 2 scoops Orgrain. Maybe some cayenne, nuts. Stir smooth and put 2T in silicone muffin cups and chill, pop out and yum. I keep in the freezer.

    1. That sounds amazing! I’ll have to try that. That does sound like a tasty treat to satisfy my sweet tooth. I’m always a fan of the smoothie because it’s jsut so easy. Plus I like the chocolate flavor. I’ll mix mine with homemade peanut butter (it’s the best, can’t go back to store bought now), banana & almond milk. Sometimes I add spinach or even Vanilla & Cinnamon. It comes out great every time. Thanks for sharing Sondra!

        1. That’s up to you to decide what is best for you. I’ve heard many success stories with intermittent fasting, so I hope that’s going well. Do whatever you feel is best for you! I hope that helps
